Considering a visit?  Here’s a little bit about what to expect and to welcome you to our church.

What should I wear?

Feel free to wear what you like best!  You’ll see a wide variety of clothes, from blue jeans and shorts to jackets and ties.

Where should I park?

We have four parking areas to provide plenty of parking.  Our closest area is the handicapped parking on the northeast side of the building, just past the covered portico.  The portico entrance has immediate access to our elevator.  The main parking area is the corner of 6th and Monroe Streets, with overflow in the West End Restaurant parking lot (except for Mother’s and Father’s Days).  We have a third lot on 6th Street, north of the church, with our fourth lot right behind it, accessed from 5th Street.  Follow the signs to the 5th and 6th Street lots.

Are my children welcome in the worship service?

Absolutely!  After the praise singing, we have a message for the children and then they go to God’s Zoo Room to learn about Jesus together.

Will I be singled out during the service as a visitor and have to introduce myself?

No.  We do hope you will be welcomed personally and often as you make your way into our church and the sanctuary, but we do not ask visitors to stand or introduce themselves.  We do have a time of greeting at the beginning of each service where everyone attending greets those around them.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?

Not at all.  The offering is a time of thanks and giving for our Church Family in recognition of the gifts God has given to us.

What version of the Bible do you use?

NIV (New International Version)

What kind of worship service do you have?

The 10:00 am service in the sanctuary is a blend of contemporary and traditional.

What about communion?

We serve Holy Communion in both services once each month and for special occasions.  We have an “open table” for Holy Communion which has only one requirement: that you seek to live in peace with Jesus Christ and one another.  You do not need to be baptized or a member of Grace First  to participate.

Who can help me find my way around and answer my questions?
